
You need to reach out 17 times before someone will feel confident enough to hire you. Potential customers too busy to clean their own houses most likely will be too busy to open what they consider junk mail BUT are avid users of their computers. They prefer to access information on their own time, lunch time at the office, after the kids are in bed, on weekends. Reach them where they spend their time–on the computer.
Reach out and sell to the people you have already found. Collect email addresses from inbound callers. Ask for referrals from your current customers. Go through your old written records and the information you have on your computer for unsold prospects, canceled and one time previous clients. Work shows and give away free cleanings where you can gather names and email addresses on their sign up sheets. Always, always ask everyone for their email address.
Google or Bing ‘email marketing tools’ and select from the many providers (e.g Constant Contact, ExactTarget, iContact etc.) available. Use the program on a trial basis for free!
